The Lions seemed to gain back their shooting touch early as they connected on 64% of their first half field goal attempts and made 10-17 (59%) three-pointers. Piedmont raced out to an early 35-point lead (53-18) and coasted from that point.
All 12 Lions recorded a field goal in the game led by Pete Manos' game-high 14 points. Jeff Belflower and Drew Bailey each added season-highs of 13 points apiece. Jake Green pitched in with nine points and nine assists including eight in the first half.
The win moves Piedmont to 11-9 overall on the season as the Lions return to action again on Saturday, February 4th as they travel to conference foe Fisk University in Nashville, TN.
