The win was the 11th in the last 12 games for the Lions as they improved to 19-4 on the season. They entered the game ranked eighth in Division III in scoring with an average of 94.4 points per game and they upped that number by tying a school record from earlier in the season (126 points versus Newport News in January).
Wylie, who entered the game ranked fourth in the nation in 3-pointers (4.4 average) connected on 13 of 24 shots from downtown to account for all of his points. He missed the Division III record by six, 3-pointers.
Myrick continued his torrid pace this season as he was 14-for-28 from the field (2-for-3 from 3-point land) and 7-for-10 from the foul line. The All-American senior began the game leading all of Division III in scoring (31.1 avg) and ranked fourth in assists (7.3 avg). He added seven rebounds and four steals in 38 minutes of action.
Delaware Valley (4-17) led in the opening minutes, but an 11-0 Lincoln run gave the Lions a 15-6 advantage with 14:22 remaining in the half. Lincoln built the lead to 16, but the Aggies countered with seven straight points to make it 52-43 with 3:22 remaining.
However, the Lions scored 13 of the final 14 points in the half for a 65-44 advantage at the intermission. They then opened the second stanza with a 20-7 run, including 10 points and four assists by Myrick, for a 34-point advantage.
Lincoln finished the game shooting 53.3 percent from the field, including a 57.8 percent effort in the first half. In addition to Wylie and Myrick, Tyree Byard finished with 18 points and eight rebounds while Darryl White added 14 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks.
The loss by Delaware Valley spoiled a terrific effort by Isaiah Pinckney as he was 11-for-21 from the field, including a 4-for-9 showing from beyond the arc, and finished with 29 points in 33 minutes of action.
Dominque Brown came off the bench to score 16 points in the first half and finished with 20 points and six boards in 28 minutes, while Maurice Slaughter had 16 points and nine rebounds in 17 minutes of action off the bench.
