UW-Stout 63, UW-River Falls 49

RIVER FALLS, Wis. — Terry Farmer and Jacob Nonemacher combined for 31 points and 18 rebounds as UW-Stout avenged an earlier loss to UW-River Falls, 63-49, on the Falcons' floor, Wednesday.

Coupled with UW-Oshkosh's 60-55 loss to UW-La Crosse, Stout's win over River Falls moved the Blue Devils (16-4, 9-3) into sole possession of first place in the WIAC. Stout trailed only briefly in this game as they built up as much as a 21 point lead in the second half over the Falcons (5-15, 4-8).

Farmer led all scorers with 16 points and had seven rebounds, while Nonemacher finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. John Nonemacher pulled down 10 rebounds and Adam Chandler added 10 points.

The Falcons were led by Erik Olson coming off the bench for 14 points.

Neither team shot particularly well. Stout hit 25-of-64 (39.1 percent) from the floor, while the Falcons hit 18-of-50 (36 percent). The Blue Devils dominated the glass, pulling down 50 rebounds to 25 for the Falcons.
