Chad McGowan was the leading scorer and rebounder for the victorious Spartans as he knocked down 24 points and grabbed 11 boards, all in only 21 minutes of play.
The Spartans (17-2, 7-2 Capital Athletic Conference) raced out to an 11-0 lead before the Gophers tallied their first points of the contest on a basket by Justin Ajose 4:07 into the first half. Goucher got as close as 20-14 on a three-poit basket by Conor Martin with 12:13 remaining before halftime, but York responded with a run of 13 unanswered points that featured a pair of three-pointers by Brandon Bushey and another by McGowan.
At the half, the Spartans enjoyed a commanding 55-26 lead.
Jonathan Garritt captured scoring honors for Goucher (1-17, 1-8 Capital Athletic Conference) by producing 21 points. James Russo added 18 points.
Despite losing the last four encounters with the Spartans, Goucher still leads the all-time series with York, 19-18.
