Sophomore guard Shawn Carr fired in a team-high 16 points, including three three-point goals. He also pulled in a career-high nine rebounds.
Freshman guard Ryan Gibson and freshman forward Daniel Zacour each scored 12 points off the bench while sophomore guards Ryan Gerber and Joe Capotosta each scored 11.
Zacour, who shot 5 of 7 from the floor, also grabbed seven rebounds. Gibson added five boards while Gerber distributed four assists.
Grove City fell behind 9-0 early but stormed back with an 18-4 blitz. The Wolverines then closed the first half with an 8-0 run, giving Grove City a 35-25 halftime lead. Medaille trimmed the lead to 47-45 with 10 minutes left but a pair of Carr threes helped break the game open.
Senior guard Matt Phillips dished out five assists for the Wolverines. Grove City out-rebounded the Mavericks, 42-29. It is the first time that Grove City has out-rebounded an opponent this year.
The Wolverines will host Juniata Monday night, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. in non-conference action.
