The 11th-ranked Yellow Jackets held a 25-21 lead with 5:40 on the game clock, but junior Adam Krovic scored 18 of his team-high 24 points in the closing minutes of the stanza to give RMC a 48-34 edge entering intermission. The Hornets trailed 56-47 with 14:16 left in the second half before the Yellow Jackets put the game away with a 22-9 spurt.
Hornet junior center Peter Vasiliou (Chincoteague, VA/Chincoteague) scored a career-high 17 points on eight of 11 shooting. Senior Andy Albright (Hudson, OH/Hudson) posted nine points and a team-high five rebounds while sophomore Ramon Goings (Naugatuck, CT/St. Lukes) scored nine points on three three-pointers. Senior center Pat Prior (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) added eight points.
Krovic hit 10 of his 13 shot attempts to record his game-high point total. Justin Wansley scored 11 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and Nick Annacone scored 11 points, hitting all three of his three-point attempts. Randolph-Macon (3-1/1-0 ODAC) drilled 33 of its 51 shots from the floor and 11 of 18 (61%) from beyond the three-point arc.
Lynchburg (0-6/0-1 ODAC) travels across town Friday night to face Division I opponent Liberty University at 7 p.m.
