Ahead 54-51, Marble knocked down her lone three-pointer of the game from the top of the arc after a drive-and-dish assist from Myles to put USM up by six, 57-51, with 2:55 to go. Marble then knocked down one of two free throws to give the Huskies a seven point cushion before Bowdoin’s Berne drained one of her game-high four three-pointers to cut the margin to four, 58-54 with 1:44 on the clock.
The Huskies answered right back however on an acrobatic driving lay-up from senior guard Katie Frost (Calais, Maine/Calais) to move ahead 61-54 with under a minute to go. Frost ended the game with solid eight points and four assists.
