Long's 22 led all scorers and his nine rebounds were a team high. Mike Gavic added 15 points for the Big Blue and John Harmsen came off the bench for 10 points in just nine minutes of play.
Gavic and Reid Jones led Millikin with four assists each and Matt Nohren had a team-best four steals and two blocks. Gavic also added eight rebounds.
Millikin shot 50 percent from the field in the first half and 75.9 in the second half for a 61.2 shooting night overall. Four players were perfect from the floor - John Harmsen (3-of-3), Ray Kissing (2-of-2), Mitch Ade (1-of-1) and Doug Goldstein (3-of-3). Long was 10-of-11 from the field on the night and Gavic finished 6-of-7. Millikin also shot 48 percent from 3-point, including 80 percent in the second half. The RedHawks shot 40.4 percent for the game and just 28.6 percent from 3-point. The Big Blue out-rebounded the RedHawks 37-23.
The RedHawks were led by Justin Ortiz's 11 points and Steve Wilson's 11 rebounds.
Millikin returns to action on Thursday when it hosts Aurora.
