With the win, the Blazers snapped a two-game losing streak to improve to 2-2 overall. Tuesday’s 100-point output was Elms College’s largest since a 100-71 win over Mount Ida College last February. Anna Maria, meanwhile, fell to 1-3 overall.
Sophomore guard Randy Hite (Hartford, CT) dropped in a season-high 16 points, pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds and added a game-high five assists for the Blazers, who jumped out to a 50-18 lead at intermission.
Sophomore forward Renato Lindmets (Springfield, MA) had a season-high 15 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the field, junior guard Justin Davis (Dix Hills, NY) recorded 14 points that included 4 of 6 shooting from 3-point range and freshman forward Antoine Holder (Hartford, CT) added 11 points to all reach double figures for the Blazers in the victory.
The Blazers held decisive advantages in points off turnovers (43-16), second chance points (16-5), fast break points (18-4) and points in the paint (56-26).
Anna Maria received a team-high 15 points and eight rebounds from freshman guard Madsen Louissaint (Worcester, MA).
