Nashua, NH - Rivier College exploded in the first half and lead 47-29 over perennial power Plymouth State. Plymouth junior Andreas Pope carried PSU in the second half as the roared back to take a 70-68 lead. John McMahon then hit a three for the Raiders to take a 71-70 lead then Mike Sullivan hit a runner to put PSU back on top by one 72-71. Jeff Carpenter then hit a free throw to tie it once again with 1:20 left at 72-72. The Panthers took the lead for good on a Mike Walcek jumper.
Rivier had one last chance to tie it when Brian Stice rimmed out a 3 at the buzzer and PSU went on to win 78-75.
The Raiders now go to 2-2 on the season while PSU is 2-0.
