Jared Kildare, who was selected Most Valuable Player of the tournament, scored a game-high 20 points and connected on all of his seven shots from the field.
NYU (4-0) scored the first eight points of the game. Then, following Polytechnic's first basket, the Violets went on another 8-0 run. Eventually, the NYU lead grew to 41-9 en route to a 45-16 halftime lead.
The Violets' lead continued to swell in the second half and reached a game-high 40 points on freshman Bill Morrissey's layup with 19 seconds remaining.
Junior Michael DeCorso scored 13 points for NYU and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Junior Matt Basford added 12 points, while junior Daniel Falcon contributed seven points, six rebounds, two steals, and was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
Dale Smiley led Polytechnic (1-2) with 10 points and was also selected to the All-Tournament Team.
In the Third-Place Game, the United States Merchant Marine Academy defeated Elmira College 83-72.
The other All-Tournament selections were Micah Owens of Elmira and Zach Wyatte of USMMA.
