Chicago 67, Edgewood 56

MADISON, Wis. — Clay Carmody and Jesse Meyer each scored 13 points as Chicago defeated host Edgewood 67-56 in non-conference play Sunday night.

Chicago (4-1) held the lead for all but a 19-second span late in the first half. The Maroons scored the first 10 points of the game and built 36-32 halftime advantage.

Chicago then outscored the Eagles (3-1) 20-6 during the first 6:50 of the second stanza to take its largest lead of the night at 56-38.

Meyer connected on three of seven three-point attempts, giving him multiple-three-point field goals in all five games this season.

Brandon Woodhead contributed 12 points and a game-high six assists, while Nate Hainje led the Maroons with seven rebounds.

Charlie Averkamp and John Fahey paced Edgewood with 11 points each.
