Garrett Poll paced the Norse with 17 points in 31 minutes of action. Andy Rump also tallied double digits with 14, thanks to a 4 of 6 performance from behind the three-point line. Norm Winn, who received his first start of the season, chipped in eight points and grabbed a team high five rebounds.
Loyola was led by a trio of double digit performers. J. R. Blount led all scorers with 19 points and was followed by Blake Schilb and Majak Kou who were both credited with 18.
Loyola outscored the Norse 34 to 18 in the paint and also scored 22 points off of Luther turnovers. Loyola shot 53 percent from the field, while Luther connected on 44 percent of its attempts. Loyola also won the rebound battled by a slim 30-24.
