Coast Guard 98, Albertus Magnus 58NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Steve Blum had a career-high 13 points and 10 rebounds while Craig Johnson also had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds as six Bears scored in double figures as Coast Guard cruised past Albertus Magnus 98-58 in a non-conference game.
The Bears led 16-14 with 12:17 left in the first half before outscoring the Falcons 34-11 the rest of the half to take a 50-25 lead at the half. Al Sowers led Coast Guard with 14 points and five assists while Grant Johnson (11 points), Jeff Prebeck (10 points) and Dan Sheppard (10 points) were also in double figures for the Bears who won their third straight, all on the road, to improve to 3-1 on the season.
