The game started quickly for the Bearcats with an 8-0 lead, but Yeshiva responded with 10 points for an early 10-8 advantage. Baruch then countered with another eight consecutive points for a 16-10 score that would mimic the exchange of leads throughout the game.
Yeshiva (1-2) was ahead 52-51 until Karis exploded for 15 points, as part of a career-high 32 points.
Junior guard Carl Emego (Brooklyn, NY/Canarsie) had 12 points and four assists, while freshman forward George Kunkel (Queens, NY/Archbishop Molloy) contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.
Senior guard Robi Davidson (Tel Aviv, Israel/Beverly Hills) added eight points and four assists.
Roy Goldstein (Bear Sheva, Israel/Magif Gimmel) led Yeshiva with 21 points, while Ian Ribald (Dallas, Texas/Yavneh Academy) scored 17 points (five three-pointers).
Baruch will return to action this Saturday afternoon with a non-conference home game against Kings of Pennsylvania. Tip off in the ARC is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
