Washington held a 53-48 lead with three minutes remaining in the second half, but Immaculata forced several WC turnovers and went on a 16-2 run in the last 2:42 of play to come away with the victory.
Meg Legere collected a game-high 19 points and hauled down a game-best 12 rebounds for the Mighty Macs. Mary Kate Pawlowski and Kasey Hicks added 15 and 12 points, respectively for Immaculata. Karen Specht dished out a game-high 11 assists.
Junior guard Regina Barrett recorded a team-high 17 points and grabbed a team-best eight rebounds for the Shorewomen. Barrett, who also dished out three assists, drained five three-pointers in the loss. Sophomore guard Irene Pastorino scored 14 points, all in the second-half, and connected on four three-pointers. Sophomore guard Elise Conway dished out a team-high seven assists and collected three steals.
The Shorewomen out-rebounded the Mighty Macs by a margin of 43-39. WC shot 35% from the floor, while Immaculata shot 36%. Turnovers were the story of the game for the Shorewomen, who gave up the ball 25 times.
