Trinity (2-0) led 45-29 at the half after opening up a 16-6 lead in the opening minutes of the game. The Tigers led by as many as 25 points (43-18) in the first half, and as much as 36 in the second.
Ross Burt scored 21 points to lead the Tigers for the second straight game, tying his career high set just yesterday. Burt also had five rebounds and two steals.
James Lake and Andy Bates both finished with 13 points in the game, with Bates pulling down a team-high seven boards, and Lake hitting 3-5 from beyond the arc.
Also in double figures were Mitch Walker and Casey Hill - both of whom finished with 10 points for the Tigers. Walker also had five assists and two steals, while Hill had five rebounds and hit 5-7 from the foul line.
The Tigers held NC Wesleyan to 31% shooting in the game, allowing just 18-58 from the line. Trinity nailed nearly 45% of its shots, as well as 15-23 free throws.
Trinity will open its home schedule against Howard Payne University at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday night at Sams Gymnasium.
