Using a balanced attack, which saw four players scoring double-digits, the MSOE Raiders men’s basketball team defeated Hannibal-LaGrange 68-52 to win the Big Four Tournament.
Floyd Bayiha added 14 points on the night to give him 40 points for the tournament and the Most Valuable Player award. Senior guard Jeff Mikos and sophomore forward Scott Murphy join Bayiha on the All-Tournament team. Mikos led all MSOE scorers in the championship game with 18, while Murphy added 15 points on the night.
Robert Verdun also had a great night, hitting 5-of-6 shots from beyond the three-point line, adding 15 points to the Raiders total.
The men’s basketball team stays on the road, heading to Rockford College on Tuesday night for a non-conference tilt. Tip off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
