The Tomcats (0-2) finished with five players in double figures, led by senior forward Damien Williams , who finished with 17 points and five rebounds. Freshman guard Pete Farley totaled 16 points, nine assists and three rebounds while sophomore forward Joe Herrmann chipped in with 14 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Senior guard Stephen Laird and junior guard Brad Bowman added 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Thiel stretched its first-half lead to as many as 15 before Kenyon (1-1) cut the deficit to four (48-44) going into the half.
Kenyon came out of the locker room strong in the second half, going up by as many as 10 (77-67) with just over eight minutes remaining. A Bowman three-pointer tied the game at 86-86 with just over four minutes to play.
Farley knocked down a jumper at the 1:15 mark to tie the game at 90-90 before Rehm's pair of free throws sealed the win for the Lords.
Matt Formato had 23 points, eight rebounds and four steals to pace Kenyon while Bryan Yelvington added 22 points and eight boards.
Thiel returns to action on Monday, Nov. 21 when they travel to Division II Indiana University of Penn. for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
