Kean jumped out a 24-16 halftime lead behind seven points by Hamby and six each from Miller (Trenton, N.J.) and Armet Coles, Jr. (Staten Island, N.Y.). Overall in the game the Cougars dominated in the paint outscoring Hunter 44-14, while also outscoring the Hawks 21-10 from the bench.
For Kean, Miller and Bryan Keller (Piscataway, N.J.) added to a balanced scoring attack finishing with 10 points apiece. Senior Coles added eight points and 10 rebounds, while freshman Lamar Wright (Galloway, N.J.) also chipped in with six points.
Kean will next be in action Tuesday, November 22 when they travel to play William Paterson University at 8 p.m in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) opener for both schools.
