POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Elms College junior guard David Williams (Hartford, CT) netted a team-high 12 points and the Blazers placed five players in double figures to post a convincing 80-60 victory over Oberlin College in the opening round of the Vassar College Invitational on Friday evening at the Vassar Athletic Center.

Elms College (1-0) used a 26-7 first half run to take a commanding 44-25 lead and never looked back en route to victory in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
