Friday night at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, the MSOE Raiders opened their season at the Big Four basketball tournament with a 68-55 win over Fontbonne University. Transfer Floyd Bayiha scored 26 points on 8-for-15 shooting, leading all scorers. Freshman Andy Voigt came off the bench, shooting 4-of-5 from the field, adding 10 points, 3 rebounds in 24 minutes played. Forward Scott Murphy added nine points, five rebounds, while guard Jeff Mikos scored eight points before fouling out in the second half.
The Raiders advanced to the championship game, facing Hannibal-LaGrange College, an NAIA power from Missouri, on Saturday at 2 p.m.
