Higier scored 21 points and made seven three-pointers in the first half as NYU took a 42-33 lead at intermission.
The Violets (21-5) scored the first 11 points of the second half and eventually took a game-high 25-point lead, 71-46, with 1:13 remaining.
The outcome of the game was never in doubt, as NYU scored the first 14 points of the game and never trailed in the contest.
Higier, whose previous career high was 23 points, finished 10-17 from three-point range. She added five assists, three rebounds and three steals in the game. Her 30 points was NYU`s highest one-game total since Lauren D`Ambrosio, the team record-holder with 11 three-pointers, had 35 points on March 9, 2003.
Rachel Wojdowski added 19 points for NYU, while Karen Bachman contributed a career-high 11 rebounds. Adrienne Rochetti chipped in with a career-high eight assists for the Violets.
Melissa Kraft had a team-high 21 points for Drew (14-12).
NYU now faces Farmingdale State University, a 96-90 triple-overtime winner over Stevens Institute of Technology, in the ECAC Semifinals this Friday, March 4, at 6pm at Coles.
