MacMurray 129, St. Louis Pharmacy 92JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — The MacMurray men's basketball team set a new single game record with 21 treys against St. Louis College of Pharmacy in a non-conference game. They are now 7-11 on the year with a 3-4 mark in the SLIAC and Fontbonne University coming to town on Wednesday. The previous record was 17 3-point buckets and was set 12/7/05 when they played Lincoln Christian College.Sami Rasmussen and Billy Long each knocked down 6 treys and Kevin Downham added 3. The Highlanders were 21-54 from long range and 49-116 overall. They were also able to 10-13 from the free throw line and out rebounded their opponent 48-33. Long (20), Rasmussen (18), Robinson (18) and Cunningham (12) led the scoring while Carroll, Compton and Downham had a nice night in assists. This was a good team win as MacMurray forced 33 turnovers in the game and only committed 18 with 16 assists all total. To stay in the conference race, the Highlanders need to post wins over Fontbonne and Principia this week.
