It was the Yellow Jackets (13-5) eighth win in their last nine contests, and thier third straight non-conferecne victory following a 1-4 start in non-CUNY atcion.
The knot at 52-52 was the ninth of the contest, actaully the Blue Knights held a 42-41 halftime advantage, but poor shooting (37.5%) and 14 turnovers in the second stanza, led the Jackets to an eight point win.
Sophomore center Terrin Johnson (Curtis / Staten Island) had his second straight twenty-ten double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds to lead City Tech. Jason Senior (Sattelite Academy / Brooklyn, NY) scored 18 points, while guards Kareem Hanley (Canarsie / Brooklyn, NY) and Clyde Forteau (St. Raymond's / Broooklyn, NY) chipped in with 12 and 11 points respectively.
Sophomore forward Otis Saylee (Seward Park / New York, NY) pitched in with nine points, nine rebounds and a game-high six assists.
Mike Hoyt (23 points) and Sergio Guzman led MSMC (10-8) with 20 points and ten boards (ten offensive), while Kenny Lane added 19 points and 14 caroms.
City Tech takes on CUNY rival York College on Wednesday night in Jamaica, Queens at 8:00 pm.
