Colby-Sawyer 60, Roger Williams 41

BRISTOL, R.I. — Colby-Sawyer held Roger Williams to just 10 points in the second half to recover from a three-point halftime deficit and take a 60-41 win over the Hawks on Saturday afternoon in Bristol, R.I.
The Chargers extended their winning streak to nine games and remain undefeated in Commonwealth Coast Conference play.

After taking a 36-30 lead four minutes into the second half, Roger Williams (7-10, 8-3 CCC) went nearly 11 minutes without scoring. Colby-Sawyer (14-3, 9-0 CCC) took command behind the outside shooting of James Thorpe (Concord, NH), who knocked down 3-of-4 from three-point range and scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half. Andrew St. Clair (Pittsfield, ME) added 16 points, seven boards and seven steals in the win, and Chris Condon (Reading, MA) scored 15 points for the Chargers.

Chris Cormier (Trumbull, CT) led the Hawks with 11 points, as the Hawks managed just 12 second half field goal attempts as Colby-Sawyer notched 12 steals after halftime.

Colby-Sawyer returns home on Tuesday, February 1, when they host the University of New England at the Hogan Center in New London at 7:30 p.m.
