Drew 65, Lycoming 31

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Lycoming College women’s basketball team hosted Drew University, Saturday evening, for a Freedom Conference contest. The Warriors struggled to get going on the offense end, eventually falling to the Rangers 31-65. Lycoming drops to 5-11 overall and 1-6 within the conference. Drew improves to 12-6 and 4-3.

The Warriors shot just 12% from the field in the first half, recording three field goals and seven points. The 26-point halftime deficit was too much for Lycoming to overcome.

Colleen Wade was the Warriors’ leading scorer with eight points. Stacy Lindeman added six points off the bench. Jessica Snyder pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for Lycoming.

The Rangers were led by Jennifer Weldon with 16 points and six rebounds. Melissa Kraft added 14 points and seven assists. Maggie Marquis chipped in 12 markers and eight boards.

The Warriors will begin the second half of their conference schedule on Wednesday, February 2, when they travel to the University of Scranton. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
