Senior Jeff Thomas led all scorers, netting a season-high 24 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Badou Gaye poured in 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to go along with six blocked shots. It was Thomas' second double-double on the season and Gaye's 12th.
Andre Little led Misericordia (7-11, 5-4 PAC) with 19 points. He was one of four players in double-digit scoring for the Cougars, who shot 38.7% (24-of-62).
Misericordia cut a 43-32 halftime deficit using a 15-5 run to open the second stanza. Two Josh Kendrick free-throws made it a 48-47 GMC game with 13:12 to play.
But the Griffins (14-3, 8-0 PAC) used a run of their own, outscoring CM 13-2 over the next six minutes. Thomas, who was 6-of-7 from the line, sank two free-throws to give Gwynedd-Mercy their biggest lead of the game at 73-57 with 2:54 remaining.
For the contest, GMC hit on 46.4% (32-of-69) of its shots and outrebounded the Cougars, 45-28.
