Trinity jumped out to a 19-6 lead in the first six minutes and never looked back. With the game tied at four apiece in the early going, a 15-2 run by the Bantams gave the visitors a commanding lead mid-way through the first half. Three straight three-pointers keyed the Trinity run, as the Bantams connected on nine three-pointers in the first half alone, including four from Halas. Bowdoin closed to within 14 points three times in the second frame, but could draw no closer.
In the defeat, Bowdoin junior forward Kyle Petrie (Iowa City, Iowa) scored 23 points to become the 16th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points. He now has 1,016 for his career. Four Bantams reached double figures, led by 23 from Halas. Junior forward Tyler Rhoten (Ridgewood, N.J.) scored 20 points to go with seven boards, while sophomore guard Kino Clarke (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 17 points and classmate Robert Taylor (Dorchester Center, Mass.) posted 10 points. Petrie also had eight boards and four assists, and freshman guard Andrew Hippert (Spencer, Mass.) added 14 points for the Polar Bears.
