St. John Fisher 56, Ithaca 49

ITHACA, N.Y. — St. John Fisher snapped a four-game losing streak to Ithaca and moved into a first-place tie atop the Empire 8 standings, beating the host Bombers 56-49. Both teams are tied with Hartwick for first place in the conference at 5-1.

Melissa Hartman led the Cardinals with 19 points, 10 rebounds and five steals.

Kathy Baum finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds for St. John Fisher, who held a 49-30 rebounding edge.

Stephanie Cleary scored 18 points to pace Ithaca and added four steals.
