Buena Vista 94, Luther 59

STORM LAKE, Iowa — After suffering a loss at Loras College on Tuesday, the Buena Vista University men's basketball team returned home and bounced back in convincing fashion as they downed the Norse of Luther College 94-59. The Beavers improved to 13-4 on the season and 6-2 in the Iowa Conference. Luther fell to 3-5 in the Iowa Conference.

The score remained close early until the Beavers went on a 25-11 run to end the first half and take a 45-31 advantage into the locker room.

BVU came out firing once again in the second half scoring thirteen straight points in the first three and a half minutes to claim a 27 point advantage. The Beavers never looked back and continued to roll to the 94-59 decision.

Buena Vista's Randy Bissen led all scoring as he tallied 15 points in the contest, while Eric Wiebers contributed 14 points to the win. In addition, Jordan Campbell earned a double-double as he scored 12 points and pulled down 10 of the Beavers 55 rebounds in the contest.

The Norse were led by Josh Johnson who recorded 12 points and Nick Nehman who added 10 points in the loss.

Buena Vista returns to action by hosting Cornell College on Saturday at 6:00 pm at Siebens Fieldhouse.
