JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — The MacMurray College men won their third conference game in a row as they knocked off Westminster 112-109 last night. The Highlanders are 3-3 while the Bluejays fell to 0-6 in the leagure. MacMurray had 5 players in double figures and shot 51% from the field and 37.9 from long range. Kowa (14), Long (14), Huff (11), Garrett (11) and Robinson (10) led the attack and they were aided by 20 assists. Carroll and McIntosh each had 4 and Downham 3 as the Highlanders had a well balanced scoring night. Westminster was led by Buxton with 37 points, Leach with 28 and Mantle 10 as they came back from a 57-42 half-time deficit to out score MacMurray 67-55 in the second half and make this one a nail biter. There were 57 fouls called in the game, including 2 technicals in this fierce battle. Next up for MacMurray will be Blackburn, at home, on Saturday.
