Emmanuel Guard Bobby Brown (Syracuse, Utah) scored his 1,000th career point and led the Saints to an 89-59 victory over Suffolk University. Brown pumped in a season-high 30 points on 12 for 14 shooting and netted 6 of 7 from behind the arc. Brown became the first men’s basketball player in program history to score 1,000 points. Senior Forward Andrew Barry (East Boston, MA) hit for 14 points and grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds, while Albert Hayle (Brooklyn, NY) scored 11 points in the win. Emmanuel Point Guard Jerry Etienne (Brookline, MA) dished out a game-high 6 assists. Suffolk guard Brad Schoonmaker (Marion, CT) led four Rams in double-figures with 15 points.
With this win, the Saints improved their record to 8-6 overall and 6-2 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, while Suffolk fell to 5-9 (3-4 GNAC).
