Lehman 86, New York City Tech 85Bronx, NY — In a rematch of last year's CUNY championship game, junior center Sekani Francis scored 26 points, to go along with 10 rebounds and junior point guard Willy Vargas chipped in with 23 points as Lehman College defeated City Tech 86-85 in men's basketball action.
Lehman (12-5, 7-1 CUNY) jumped out to an early lead, opening a 40-20 lead late in the first half, before a 19-9 run by City Tech left the Lightning with a 10-point halftime lead. City Tech (10-5, 7-1 CUNY) saw their hopes come to an end, as a shot at the buzzer by Nkosi Hamilton came up short to give Lehman the final margin.
