Katie Freeman and Megan Vig added 11 points each, while Freeman posted eight rebounds and three assists. She surpassed the 200-assist mark for her career in the process, only the seventh Carleton player to do so. Andrea Dahl added a career-best 10 points off the bench for the Knights.
Carleton stretched its winning streak to 11 games with the win and won for the 21st consecutive time at West Gym, the longest such streak in the MIAC.
St. Thomas (6-9, 4-7 MIAC) was paced by Erica Opdahl’s 12 points. The Tommies lost for the fifth time in the last seven games and shot only 32 percent from the floor, including 27 percent in the second half.
The Tommies actually led 18-11 with 4:36 left in the first half on a Molly Miller jumper, but the Knights closed the stanza with a 12-2 spurt, highlighted six Dahl points. The Knights left little doubt as to the outcome, opening the second half by outscoring the Tommies 19-6, grabbing a 42-26 advantage at the 9:33 mark. Carleton shot 56.5 percent in the second half and 43 percent for the game and out-rebounded the visitors 37-33.
