BROCKPORT, N.Y. — January 22, 2005

SUNY BROCKPORT WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DEFEATS ONEONTA
Golden Eagles are now 4-1 in SUNYAC

BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Ashley Broadhurst (Sauquoit/Utica Notre Dame) led the Golden Eagles with a career high 19 points en route to a 58-48 victory over Oneonta at Bring a Kid Day Saturday.

The Golden Eagles improved to 6-7 overall and 4-1 in the conference. with their fourth straight victory, while the Red Dragons fell to 11-4 on the season and 5-3 in the SUNYAC.

Kim Schlegel (Red Creek/Central) scored 15 points making her the second top scorer for the Golden Eagles, while Mary Ahrens (Rochester/Gates-Chili) tallied 11 points.


Allie Sullivan (Crompond/Walter Panas) scored 14 points for the Red Dragons and Noreen Naughton (Mineola/Wheatley) added 8 points.

Brockport will face Cortland at Brockport, Tuesday January 28, at 6 p.m.
