With the win, Fisher, currently ranked No. 8 in the NCAA Division III and winners of 35 straight regular-season games at home, improves to 14-0 overall and 3-0 in the Empire 8. Fisher is off to its best start in the program’s 42-year history and with the women’s team’s victory, Fisher is the only school in the country to have both basketball program’s undefeated.
Fisher also shot 10-of-12 from the floor over the first 10 minutes of the second half and shot 58.0% from the field for the game.
Five players scored in double-figures for Fisher, including Jeff Sidney, who finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.
Mike McGee added 11 points, while Chase MVP Sean O’Brien, Charlie Zahn and Dan Mueller each chipped in with 10 points. O'Brien also finished with seven assists.
Justin Cichon led the Pioneers (7-6, 3-1) with 17 points.
Fisher will return to action at 4 p.m. Saturday and will host Hartwick College.
