Trinity (Conn.) 94, Connecticut College 65

New London, Conn. — Junior forward Tyler Rhoten (Ridgewood, N.J.) scored a game-high 27 points to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 94-65 win over the Connecticut College Camels in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men’s basketball action this evening at Luce Fieldhouse. Trinity improves to 11-4 overall and 1-1 in the NESCAC, while the Camels drop to 3-13 overall and 0-3 in the league.

The victory was a milestone for Trinity coach Stanley Ogrodnik who recorded his 400th win. Trinity College led from the opening tip and carried a 51-31 lead into the break. Rhoten had 19 of his points in the opening half. The Bantams were able to hang on for the 94-65 victory.

Senior co-captain guard John Halas (White Plains, N.Y.) contributed 17 points and sophomore forward Robert Taylor (Dorchester Center, Mass.) added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Bantams. Sophomore Sokol Zejnullahu (Peja, Kosovo) netted 15 points and pulled down six rebounds off the bench to lead Connecticut College. Zarrette Rogers (New City, N.Y.) added 11 points and dished out four assists for the Camels.
