TYLER, Texas — LC’s Morey Skluzacek nailed a three-point shot with 3.6 seconds left in regulation to give the Wildcats a 77-76 win at the University of Texas-Tyler Thursday night. Skluzacek, who led the Wildcats in scoring, finished with 18 points. Wildcat freshmen Cody Wyatt, who finished with a career high 13 points, and Codie Steele, who also had a career high with 11 points, also contributed heavily to LC’s winning cause.
Both teams shot the ball extremely well as LC shot 51.9 percent from the field, including 50 percent from three-point range, and UT-Tyler shot 57.7 percent, including 45.5 percent from beyond the arc. The win pushes LC into a third place tie in the ASC East with UT-Tyler.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Dallas to take on the University of Texas-Dallas at 3:30 p.m.
