Transy (13-2, 5-0 in the HCAC) won for the fifth straight time and 12th time in 13 outings while Hanover fell to 12-4 and 3-2 in the league. It was the first time the Pioneers defeated the four-time defending HCAC champions in seven meetings since Transy joined the HCAC in 2001-02.
The Pioneers trailed by four in overtime as Matt Moore scored on a pair of free throws and a layup, making it 66-62. But Transy roared back on a bucket and free toss by Matt Finke to make it 66-65 with just over three minutes to play.
After Hanover misfired on two possessions and turned the ball over twice, Transy got the ball with less than 20 seconds to go and Nate Valentine found Pendleton on the right side from about 24 feet for the game-winner. Hanover had the lead and the ball, but turned it over with just under a half-minute to play.
Moore's desperation three came just after the final buzzer and rimmed out.

Hanover shot 49 percent for the game, including 52.2 percent in the first half which ended with Transy on top by three, 35-32. The Panthers were eight of 19 from long range and 10 of 10 from the stripe. Transy hit 12 of 15 free throws.
