COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Wilmington College Quakers fell victim to hot shooting in the Capital Center on Wednesday evening, as the Capital Crusaders hit 56.9% of their shots in a 91-50 loss in OAC action.

Eric Stirling was the sole Quaker in double figures with 14 in the loss.

The two teams started the half even, as the game was tied at four with 16:30 to play in the period, before the hosts opened a 15-0 run over the next five minutes, eventually leading by as many as 29 in the half, as the Quakers went into the locker room trailing 40-16.

The second half was much of the same for the Crusaders, as they led by as many as 43 in the game, and by 41 at the buzzer.

Stirling scored a team-high 14 points while Jeff Proctor added a career-high nine in the loss. David Guy pulled down a team-high five rebounds in the loss.

Capital was led by David Johnson who scored 23 points on 7-of-8 shooting from three-point range while Jeff Hager added 13 points in the win.

With the loss, the Quakers fall to 8-7 on the year and even their Ohio Athletic Conference record to 4-4 while Capital improves to 11-4 overall and 7-2 in league play.

The next game for the Quakers is on Saturday, January 22 when the team travels to Berea, Ohio to face off against the Yellow Jackets of Baldwin-Wallace College with tip-off set for 3:00 p.m.
