The Eagles (14-4 overall) led 33-22 at the break and pushed the lead to 221 points 46-25 on a 3-pointer by Jeremy Hopper at the 14:19 mark.
The Generals then put together their best stretch of basketball of the night with a 15-2 run over the next five minutes to cut the lead to eight points, 48-40. W&L freshman John Mumper scored 10 of the Generals points during the run, including a pair of jumper from beyond the arc.
W&L (2-14, 0-9 ODAC) got as close as seven, 49-42, with 8:56 left before the Eagles regrouped and regained control of the game. Bridgewater ran off 18 unanswered points over the next 3:30 to take their biggest lead of the game, 67-42. The Eagles hit three long jumpers from beyond the arc – two by Josh Maupin and one by Ashby Tarkington – and Ricky Easterling scored seven points during the Eagles decisive outburst.
Easterling led the Eagles with 21 points while Clay Michael added 18 points and 10 rebounds. Maupin hit 4-of-4 shots from 3-point range and finished with 14 points.
Mumper hit 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and led the Generals with 20 points. Mike Stuart also reached double digits with 10 points.
