The Chargers (10-3, 5-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference) pushed the margin to as many as 40 with 14:05 to play before Anna Maria (2-12, 0-7) was able to chip away at the lead against Colby-Sawyer's reserves. The AMCATS cut the lead down to 24 with 1:45 left, but the game was too far out of reach.
Colby-Sawyer was led by Chris Condon's (Reading, Mass.) 22 points and 11 rebounds in just 21 minutes. Aron Brooks (Cumberland, Maine) added 11 points, while Andrew St. Clair (Pittsfield, Maine) scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in just 18 minutes. No Colby-Sawyer starter played more than 21 minutes. Collin Bray (Brookline, Mass.) and Jake Roberts (Auburn, Maine) added nine points each for the Chargers. All 13 healthy Charger players played, with nine of them getting in the scoring column.
Anna Maria was led by Quincy Nunnally's (Westboro, Mass.) 16 points. Nick Cappello (Malden, Mass.) was the only other player in double-digits for the AMCATS, scoring 11 points.
Colby-Sawyer returns to face in-state and conference rival New England College on Thursday, January 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Henniker, N.H., before returning home on Saturday to take on Salve Regina.
