Skidmore 72, RPI 67

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The Skidmore College men’s basketball team completed a weekend Liberty League sweep of with a 72-67 victory over Rensselaer on Saturday afternoon at The Sports and Recreation Center.

Dana Martin scored a game-high 26 points, shooting 6-6 from the free throw line in the final :22 seconds to ice the game for the Thoroughbreds (8-4, 2-1). J.P. Corry added 25 points and Fran Murray recorded 13 rebounds and dished out eight assists.

Rensselaer (8-5, 1-1) had three players in double figures, led by John Van Schaick’s 21 points and 10 rebounds. John Schneider recorded a game high 15 rebounds and scored 11 points for a double-double.

Skidmore is at Hobart on Friday January 21 for an 8 p.m. contest.
