Trevor Deeter (Langhorne, PA) and Ben Gallagher (Butler, PA) both had double-doubles as the Albright College Lions (9-5, 3-1) downed the Messiah College Falcons (12-3, 2-2) 76-52 in Commonwealth Conference action Saturday evening.
Deeter poured in a game high 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Gallagher had 15 boards and 10 points for the Lions, who shot 50 percent from the floor for the game. Albright guard Matt Kieselowsky (Moscow, PA) also added 20 points in the effort.
Dave Henninger (Carlisle, PA) led Messiah with 13 points and 9 rebounds while teammate Zach Wiernicki, who is still recovering from an injury, added 10 points in only 19 minutes.
The Falcons could not keep up with the Lions shooting just 26 percent from the floor and only 55 percent from the foul line.
Messiah returns to action next Wednesday when they will play Elizabethtown College in a Commonwealth Conference match. They then return home a week from today to play Moravian College. That game is set to tip-off at 8pm.
