Trinity (11-4, 3-1) led 34-32 at the break, but opened up a 15-point lead in the second half. DePauw made a late run to cut the lead to just six with 1:10 to play, but would get no closer. Trinity held DePauw to just 39.2% shooting in the game, hitting 47.1% of its own shots.
Five Trinity players scored in double figures in the game, including a game-high 19 points from senior center Sean Devins. Devins hit 7-9 field goals in the game, recording a season-best eight blocks and pulling down six rebounds.
Jason Morris added 14 points to go with two assists and two steals, while Peter Murray finished with 12 points, three assists, and a team-best seven boards. Andy Bates and James Lake chipped in with 10 points each.
Alex Stewart hit 6-12 shots and 5-9 three-pointers to lead DePauw with 17 points off the bench, while Steve Schott finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. Reid Sakel hit 4-7 threes to finish with 12 points, as well as dishing out five assists.
Trinity will face Rose-Hulman on Sunday at noon in Sams Gym, followed by the Tiger women's game at 2:00 p.m.
