The Cougars jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back.
UMM took advantage of 14 first half fouls by Crown College and cashed in on 18 of 23 attempts at the charity strip (78%) in the first 20 minutes and out scored the Storm 24-10 in the paint.
Sullivan gave the Cougars their largest lead of the first half at 14, 43-29 scoring on a lay-up with just over five minutes to go in the first half and led 52-43 at the break.
Both teams shot well in the first half as the Cougars were 16-32 (50%), the Storm 17-32 (53%) from the field.
But the Cougars turned up the defensive pressure some in the second half and held Crown to just 33 second half points on just eight of 30 (27%) shooting from the floor.
It was only fitting that Adam Sullivan gave the Cougars their largest lead of the night at 23, 68-45 converting from the free throw line.
Crown did cut the Cougar lead to 11 with 5:10 left in the game at 85-74, but Minnesota-Morris used a 12-2 run over the games final five minutes to pull away and pick up the win.
The Cougars turned the ball over just 10 times in the game, tying for the season low and forced the Storm into 11 second half turnovers.
For the fourth time in 13 games, the Cougars had five players in double figures led by Sullivan’s 23 on seven of nine shooting from the field and nine of 11 at the line. He added six assists.
Matt Stenehjem had 19 and nine rebounds. David Holler added 16 and nine boards, Brent Durensky also had 16 and Brendan McNally chipped in with 12.
