Emory cut the gap to 49-43 on a basket by Chase Fawsett with 6:41 left in the game, but the Maroons answered with a 9-2 run to increase their lead to 58-45 at the 2:27 mark.
Rashawn Allen made it a four-point game in the final minute when his layup with 20 seconds left cut Chicago's lead to 61-57.
Jesse Meyer and Nate Hainje scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Chicago, which won its third straight.
Allen and Fawsett both posted double-doubles for Emory, Allen with 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Fawsett with 16 points and 14 boards.
