Dickinson 79, Washington College 60

CARLISLE, Pa. — Host Dickinson College jumped out to a 20-6 lead and never looked back en route to a 79-60 Centennial Conference men's basketball victory over visiting Washington College this evening in Carlisle, PA. The Red Devils, who led by as many as 23 points in the second half, improved to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play with the win, while the Shoremen slipped to 5-8 and 2-4 with the loss.

After taking the 20-6 lead on a three-pointer by Mark Harrison with 9:28 remaining in the first half, the Red Devils led by at least eight points the rest of the way. Dickinson, which led 29-21 at halftime, shot 46% from the field while holding the Shoremen to 36% shooting, including a 26% mark in the first half.

Brad Litchfield scored a game-high 28 points in 28 minutes for Dickinson, shooting 9-of-13 from the floor, six-for-nine from beyond the three-point arc, and four-of-five at the free-throw line. Matt Keys added 12 points for the Red Devils, while Travis Doll scored 10 points. Jimmy Martelli dished out a game-high eight assists for Dickinson.

Sophomore forward Joe Breslin led the way for the Shoremen, scoring a team-high 18 points. Junior guard Kyle Stem added 14 points, while junior forward Jonathan Webb finished with 13 points. Webb and Stem tied for game-high honors in rebounding, collecting seven boards each.
