Ohio Wesleyan 82, Oberlin 58

Oberlin, Ohio — Senior guard Bryan King drilled a 3-pointer and a basket during a game- opening 8-0 run and Ohio Wesleyan never looked back as the Bishops defeated Oberlin in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Wednesday at Oberlin.

Sophomore post Ben Chojnacki opened the scoring with a 3-pointer before King followed with his 5 straight points for an 8-0 Ohio Wesleyan lead. Oberlin closed to within 16-10 on Matthew Kaplan's 3-pointer with 13:03 left in the first half, but the Bishops answered with an 11-2 spurt that featured a 3-point play and a jumper by junior wing Andy Warnock.

The Bishops continued to pull away, stretching the lead to 53-23 at halftime and leading by as many as 42 points during the second half.

King led the Bishops with a season-high 19 points. Chojnacki finished with 17 points and led the Bishops with 8 rebounds, while sophomore wing Ted Uritus added 16 points and Warnock had 12 points. Junior guard Ross Rybarczyk dished out a team-high 4 assists.

Quinton Spencer led the Yeomen with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
